The word Chavurah is Hebrew for fellowship. The plural is Chavurot. The Chavurah is a small group of synagogue members who assemble for the purposes of facilitating Shabbat dinners, Havdalah Services, enjoying holiday meals together, sharing communal experiences such as lifecycle events,  Chavurot, can fulfill many spiritual and social needs but in order to best accomplish that we will help place you into groups based on your choice of what general demographic you would most like to affiliate. When you sign up for a Chavurah you will have the choice to select the age group, life stage or relationship status of your fellow members. For those of you who have children you may choose to affiliate based on the ages of your children. We will do the best we can to place you with a group of people who share common goals and interests. In Pirkei Avot we are taught, "Find yourself a teacher, acquire for yourself a friend."
