Formal Education and Training: I am a board licensed therapist, and hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. Major studies included: Clinical Diagnosis & Treatment, Family Counseling, Theory/Philosophy of Counseling, Lifespan Development, Career Counseling, Clinical Work with Diverse Populations, Assessment methods, Group Counseling, Research Methods & Couple's Counseling. Additionally, I am certified to provide services for the diagnosis & treatment of addiction (including addiction's effect on brain chemistry, as well as biological & emotional impacts). I am trained and skilled at working with individuals, couples, families and adolescents. To stay up-to-date and to continue to provide quality services, I participate in professional consultation groups and continue to stay informed in evidenced-based & current therapy models. |
