My primary areas of interest are Contemporary and Thomistic metaphysics, and philosophy of religion. My current work is on the metaphysics required for traditional theism, truthmaker theory, and modality.

I am the husband of another philosopher; her name is Faith Glavey Pawl. I am the proud father of one son and two daughters. They are: Henry Douglas Pawl, Mary Sandra Pawl, and Beatrice Katherine Pawl.
