I've decided that I'm going to take a few days to rest and reflect after spending the past 18 months without a break from school.  Right now, there just isn't a new normal to spend my evenings and I want to avoid getting into the habit of coming home from work and watching television until bedtime.

I want to spend some meaningful time with my family since sacrificing my time with them for the past 4 years has at times been a burden for us all to bear.  Yeah, I feel out of touch with the family life but I have tried my best to dedicate some amount of time each week to keep us from drifting too far apart.

So far, this week has been about resting and catching up on a few chores that I have let slide.  At work, I have been rushing to complete some tasks that I have been putting off for a long time.  I suppose that the coming weeks will settle into some new normal but for now, it's all new.
