Welcome to the 2nd quarter! You made it! This quarter we are going to be delving deeper into some great books. Check back here frequently for updates on upcoming assignments.

There are some changes that students and parents should be aware of:

• Each student must bring a book every day for SSR. If the students does not have a book and is not reading, they will miss out on half of their participation points for the day.
• Instead of 6 learning logs, there will be 4 this term. Learning logs must be typed, double-spaced, and turned in on the due date. Students' grades will be docked 10% each day the learning log is turned in late. Students have each been given a learning log sheet that has all of the prompts for this term on it.
• Students will be awarded all of their participation points at the beginning of the term. If students engage in misbehavior, they will lost participation points from their cumulative total. If, on the other hand, they earn points back, they will be added back into their participation points category.
