Lesson 1

EXTRAordinary

“Beyond all question, the MYSTERY of godliness is great:  He appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, and taken up in glory.”

1Timothy 3:15

Our theme this year covers the life of Christ and what made him extraordinary.  Because we know the full story of Jesus (beginning, middle and end) we often forget that he did some really strange and counter-cultural things like spending time with lepers, and preaching about loving our enemies.  Each lesson is based on an aspect of Jesus’ life from the perspective of someone who was there.  The hope is that campers will begin to see how extraordinary Jesus and his practices are.
