Trail Talk Questions and Bible Verses.

Monday – Celebrate the creation of Water!

Some questions you could ask your kids about the skit:

1.   Where are the three kids staying for a week?

2.   What do they hear behind the wall? Who is it?

3.   Where does Grandpa Tilikum live?

4.   How was the lake created?

5.   Who did Grandpa Tilikum build the lake for?  Why?

6.   What other story does this remind you of?

7.   How can we enjoy God’s creation today?

Lessons and verses covered:

1.   God created water as part of all His creation.

“The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it.  The

world and all its people belong to him.  For he laid the

earth’s foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean

      depths.”  Psalm 24:1-2 (NLT)

2.   God created the world for us!

“The God said, ‘Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us.   They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.’”  Genesis 1:26 (NLT)

“When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—

the moon and the stars you set in place—

what are mere mortals that you should think about them,

human beings that you should care for them?

Yet you made them only a little lower than God

and crowned them  with glory and honor.

You gave them charge of everything you made,

putting all things under their authority—

            the flocks and the herds

                        and all the wild animals,

the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea,

and everything that swims the ocean currents.

O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!”

Psalm 8: 3-9 (NLT)

3.     We should praise Him for His creation!

“Sing out your thanks to the LORD; sing praises to our God with a harp.  He covers the heavens with clouds, provides rain for the earth, and makes the grass grow in mountain pastures.”  Psalm 147: 7-8 (NLT)

“Let everything that breathes sing praises to God.”

Psalm 150: 6 (NLT)
