<Where it begins, and maybe ends>

   I am called Jan Civil, and this is my big effing deal, a band project, which once upon er time was called Civilization Phase 3, but a musician called Frank Zappa already successfully made a thing called Civilization Phaze III (which you also probably never heard of), so that's how that one went. I would be the Tigress (though I am loathe to front it, as I am not really much of a singer or a looker) and *U* would be afraid, or (preferably) not.

   Some of it is music-music, some of it is made to support some words; timelines for syllables-in-meter to scan across, type of thing. 

   This here is the main page, truly a no-budget production, and the rest of the action will link from here, just like an actual site.

   The music has been compared to a whole lotta things, from Tom Waits to Emerson, Lake & Palmer, from 'free jazz' to 'dark ambient'. It aims to be a sort of audio variety show, and = an alternative entertainment, I suppose, to a lot of your more generic options out there. If you wanna call it rock music, I won't object.

   Some people have called me a writer, which I won't object to either, because I think it's funny.
