I selected four papers I've written for my graduate school courses to showcase. I chose these four papers because they help describe my opinions on teaching.
I chose my First Year Failure Story because it shows how my beliefs about learning changed. I still believe any student can learn, but the amount a student learns depends on his or her motivation.
I chose my Analysis of From Good to Great because it seems schools do the opposite of everything this book teaches, even in Jackson, where this year's motto is the same as the title.
I chose my School District Proposal, which I wrote during the spring of my first year teaching, even though there are a lot of changes I would make if I were doing this project over. I decided to select it because it shows my priorities as a teacher at that time, which were security and discipline.
I chose our Jackson Community Assessment because it covers so many different areas that affect the students I teach now.
