USTC.SSE Soc设计方法

It is an introductory course in SoC design with selected advanced topics at the first-year graduate level. In this course the students first become familiar with the flow of designing SoC. The students shall further understand the design gaols and learn how to apply the design and implementation techniques of both hardware and software to achieve these gaols. Students shall learn that platform-based design is fundamental to cope with the design comlexity of SoC. Specific embedded system architectures are selected as advanced topics, in particular the embedded Multicore and Application Specific Instruction Set Processors.

Dr. Xiaoning Nie received the Diploma degree and the doctorial degree in Electrical Engineering from the University Erlangen-Nuernberg, Germany in 1987 and 1992, respectively. After 3 years working on the high-speed optical networks with Alcatel, he joined Infineon Technologies (former Siemens Semiconductor) where he is currently Principal and Manager for Protocol Processing and Multimedia. He has published more than 50 papers and holds several patents in the field of network processing, digital signal processing and digital video processing.
