Email received from Robert P Goins on July 23, 2006 I have been trying to find out more about Alexander Goins my g,g,g,grandfather His wife's name was Susan and they had a son Edward Edmond Goins born 1799 in Rutherford County NC, Susan is listed in the 1850 census for Bradley County Tenn and is 88 years old then. I know most of the cousins here in Okla but there are thousands still in Tenn. Nice to hear from you email anytime

Notes for EDWARD GOINS: Email received from Robert P Goins on October 12, 2006 I am pretty sure Edmond Edward had some brothers, One name Hugh ( The bigamist I think,) and maybe Daniel, It seems every son and cousin had children named, James Hugh, Julius Ceaser or John. His wife was Sarah, also called Sally.
********************** In the 1820 census, Alexander and his wife are both 45 and over. Edward is living next door. He is listed as 26-45 and his wife as 16-26 and they have one male child 0-10.
The 1820 census is still in Rutherford, NC, so at least the first child was born in NC. They probably just could not remember when the lines changed and marked him as being born in TN with the rest of the children.
