The Troy High Physics Club uses a hands on and lecture course teaching mostly mechanics. In the first semester we will prepare for the F=MA exam, and in the second semester we will focus on the University of Michigan Physics Olympiad.
In addition, the Physics club competes in three main competitions--the AAPT Physics Olympiad (F=MA exam) and Bowl, and the University of Michigan's Physics Olympiad. Be advised that UM's Physics Olympiad is usually before or during AP testing so I would encourage freshman and seniors to attempt this competition because of their lesser AP workload.
Please be aware that THIS CLUB IS NOT SUPPOSED TO TAKE THE PLACE OF AN OFFICIAL PHYSICS COURSE.
