Come and visit us at the Great Lakes area's Disc Golf Pro Shop! We now accept VISA and MasterCard. We're busy planning additional holes beyond the 24 currently in the ground at The Ponds of Lakeshore and should have 3-4 more holes in the ground yet this year. Where else in Michigan can you play disc golf on a manicured lawn with essentially no rough except for one or two holes? We have a selection of discs for any golfer and we can offer useful advice to beginners, each of whom is unique. Our motto for beginners: "Each beginner needs a different set of discs."We're conveniently located only 1.5 miles off of I-94, halfway between Ann Arbor and the Detroit Metro Airport - an easy drive to and from nearly 50 Michigan and Ohio disc golf courses, including Hudson Mills, Rolling Hills, Kensington, Bandemer, Cass Benton, and more. Located on 'The Ponds' at Lakeshore, a beautiful and challenging 24-hole disc golf course designed by Ben and Terry Calhoun, the Throw Shop offers you the chance to browse thousands of discs and a wide selection of additional disc golf paraphernalia. See a map of our shop and nearby area courses. Call us at (734) 883-4407 or email us at terry.pirate.calhoun@gmail.com. Our hours of operation are: Monday-Friday: 2-7 pm and Saturday & Sunday: 10 am - 7 pm. We offer you:
Whether headed East or West on I-94, take the Rawsonville Road exit and go South for less than half a mile; then turn RIGHT onto Grove Road. After about 1 mile you will see the course on the left, on the other side of a large, black fence. Turn LEFT into the Lakeshore Apartments complex, show your ID to the security guard, and ask for directions to the disc golf course. (If the security guard doesn't know, what you do after showing ID is make a U-turn around the guard shack and head toward the exit from the apartments, then turn RIGHT into a driveway that goes past tennis courts to the disc golf course parking lot. |
