A Discussion

Many believe that Thomas possessed a great artistic talent. There are people who see him as one of Israel's best artists.

Even the ones who don’t agree, do agree that his art had extraordinary qualities. He certainly garnered a high appreciation of artists and art experts.

However, it is legitimate to wonder why he didn't have much popularity within the greater public.

One possible answer is his authenticity.
He couldn’t be untruthful, and the truth is sometimes painful. Sometimes too painful for people to bear.

Another possible answer is his personality.
He had a big artistic charisma, but little social charisma.
Socially, to a great degree, he was an outsider. It is hard to say it, but this was the reality, and this is still the reality in many other cases.

Is there a connection between artistic skills and social skills?
Is there an opposite connection?
Can great art emerge from suffering?
Can great art immerge without a great deal of suffering?

For many people, these questions may seem insignificant, irrelevant.
Personaly, I do see these questions as significant and relevant, even though I have no absolute answers for them.

I do know, however: Thomas Kroner deserves thanks for allowing us to deal with these questions.
