The Yellow Cellar wines  are a proudly South African  product! We  would  like to   recognize  the efforts of all  South African vineyards who have  helped to  raise  the tide by  establishing trusts and  vehicles to  enable  farm  workers to improve their housing, health, education and future business development needs.

Phambili  means "moving forward" in the local Xhosa language  and the Phambili  WORKERS TRUST  is an asset owning  business responsible for wine treatments and processing and has added to its  business through the creation of their own  brand PHAMBILI.  In total over 87 workers from Wamakersvallei Winery, (producers of The Yellow Cellar wines) including dependents, stand to benefit from this project.

The Yellow Cellar  

The Yellow Cellar range of single-varietal and blended wines, both red wine and white wine, features The Cape White, a classic Chenin Blanc, with aromas of ripe guava infused with delicate spice. Zingy tropical fruit and crisp acidity make for a lively and lasting pallet.

The Cape Red, a Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz blend is a red wine full of the goodness of the Capes nature; ripe red berry fruit and a hint of spice. The Cape Red wine is soft round and easy drinking. The Yellow Cellar selection consists of fruit-driven wines - well rounded and distinctly South African – at unmatched value for money.

The range includes barrique matured Shiraz and Pinotage as well as a steel tank fermented Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc.
