Destino Movement

Raising up a Generation of Leaders from Hispanic & Latino communities to help fulfill the Great Commission on the campus, in the community and around the world.

Destino targets the college-aged generation of our country's largest and fastest-growing ethnic minority population. You may have noticed the growing number of Latinos around you and wondered what you could do to reach them.

5 Steps You Can Take to Launch a Destino Movement

Pray. Ask that God would open your eyes to the potential of ministry in the Hispanic/Latino community on your campus. Ask that he would lead you to others that would share this vision.

Decode the campus. Learn about the demographics of the campus (e.g. how many Latinos and Hispanics attend the school). Get involved in Latino/Hispanic activities on campus. Meet with Latino/ Hispanic students on evangelistic appointments. Look for Latino/Hispanic pastors and churches in the area who are connected to the campus.

Find a person of peace. Look for leaders in existing Latino/Hispanic organizations on campus. Seek to partner with local churches. Distribute Destino Survival Kits. When you find a leader or other student who wants to be involved, invest time and energy in your friendship with them.

Provide evangelism training & opportunties for key leaders. Distribute Destino Survival kits together. Take student leaders with you to follow up contacts. Set up focus groups on issues pertaining to Hispanic students. Model evangelism and purposeful relationship-building for Destino leaders. Empower leaders to use Soularium with their friends.

Connect students with the Destino Movement. Let the students know about regional and national Destino events. Help them go on a Destino Summer Project. If you don't have the resources they need, connect them with those who can help them out.
