Once upon a time we were called The Second Life™ Media Alliance (only without the now-mandatory trademark symbol). Then Linden Lab™ announced new restrictions in the use of their brand name so we had to change. Now we're The Virtual Worlds Press Club. 

We'll learn to live with it.

Representing some of the biggest news outlets in Second Life, the VWPC offers various resources to in-world journalists as well as the opportunity to meet with colleagues and keep in touch with the latest developments of the pixelated world in which we operate.

One of our major goals is to promote the existing news services —  the newspapers, magazines, television and radio networks operating in the virtual grid. To this end we hold public seminars, games, and other events aimed at making people more aware of our industry.
