The Foreign Ministry is the UKS's front face to the world.

 

Under the leadership of Konrad von Witte, Foreign Minister, the UKS foreign ministry coordinates the kingdoms' engagement with other nations inside and out of Wysteria and formulates the policy that guides this engagement.

 

Five principles guide the United Kingdoms' foreign policy. They are as follow:

 

1. Non-Alignment. The UKS will continue its policy of non-alignment with political and mutual defense organizations which mandate participation in armed conflict without actual or perceived loss of UKS property, lives, or strategic interests. Previous participation in these organizations saw a disproportionate contribution of UKS forces, funds, and materiel in conflicts that were not aligned with UKS strategic interests.

2. Military, Economic, and Social Dominance in the Near-Abroad. It is the goal of the UKS to continue its military, economic, and social dominance in the near abroad, including the continents of Lyons, Serenity, Isa, and Alderon. The UKS will continue to work with its strategic partners in these continents to ensure that the southeast quadrant of the region continues to remain the most peaceful in Wysteria.

3. Upgrades of the UKS Defense Infrastructure. The United Kingdoms is a peace-loving political entity. It rejects the use of force for territorial enlargement. It also supports the right of every nation to preserve the integrity of its territory. The UKS will continue to upgrade its military to defend its borders and to deliver a preponderance of force to distant theaters where its strategic interests are challenged.

4. Free Trade and Capitalism. The United Kingdoms strongly favors trade that is unhindered by artificial and distorting barriers such as taxes, tariffs, and quotas. It shall vigorously seek out and negotiate with other nations that share this goal to eliminate barriers to free trade. The UKS also strongly supports freedom of the seas and opposes radical socialism and communism and will commit diplomatic effort, funds, and military force to roll back the advance or radical socialism throughout the region.

5. Multipolarism. The United Kingdom opposes any attempt by a single nation, or league of nations, to impose its viewpoint in the region. The United Kingdom will work solely, or with allies, to maintain a multipolar, balanced power structure in the region where a multitude of viewpoints can be exercised and expressed.
