Butler University students have been active participants in the Timmy Foundation organization since 2005.  Butler students have traveled to Quito, Ecuador on medical relief efforts two years, accompanying teams of medical professionals focused on providing medical attention and healthier lifestyles to the people in the Quito community.  In May 2007, The Timmy Foundation at Butler formed an international partnership with Quezaltenango (Xela), Guatemala.  A group composed of thirty students of all backgrounds and medical professionals traveled to Xela, Guatemala for seven days in.  This brigade assisted 1,000 patients throughout the week.  Students made this trip again in May 2008. This May the service trip will be going to Xela May 16-23, in hopes of helping more lives.

The Timmy Foundation at Butler University was officially chartered in 2005 as a campus affiliated organization committed to community service, both locally and abroad.   While the main activities generally associated with the nationwide foundation are the annual medical relief service trips and the new relationship with Pop Wuji, we here at the Timmy Foundation at Butler University are committed to extending the call to service to our own communities as well.
