The Sedoctaves
are the University of Florida's only all-female competitive a cappella group, not to
mention its sassiest. Since their emergence in 2005, this completely
student-run organization has taken the Gainesville a cappella scene by storm.
Brought together by a passion for a cappella and a flair for the performing
arts, these young musicians sing their own renditions of everything from 80s
pop to alternative rock and are not afraid to push the envelope. The Sedoctaves recently hosted and placed third in the 2009 International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) quarterfinals. Their sultry
voices and vibrant personalities (paired with their signature hot pink heels)
never fail to dazzle their audiences. Sit back, relax, and let these ladies
