Dallas Baptist University Holds Patriot Preview Homeschool Edition

On Monday, March 5 DBU is holding a Patriot Preview that gives homeschool students and their parents an opportunity to experience life at Dallas Baptist University.  Students and parents will have the opportunity to tour the campus, visit with faculty and administrators, and receive important information about admissions, financial aid, and campus life.  Students can register for preview day by calling, 214-333-6975 or emailing Michelle at michelle@dbu.edu.  Come and see what it means to attend a Christ-centered University where faith and learning are integrated and servant leaders are developed.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

The March FCA meeting is on Saturday, March 10 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  We will have guest speaker Jamie Jones.  Jamie played college basketball, has spoken with over 7,000 students at Fields of Faith, and will be playing women's professional basketball this summer.  The softball team is hosting this meeting.  Come join a great time and expect to be changed.  

Baseball

Varsity has moved one Friday game up to today, Wednesday at 4:30 vs Trinity Valley School @ Trinity Valley School off of Bryant Irvin in Ft Worth..  The JV team is playing in the Birdville JV tournament at locations around North Richland Hills.  The Varsity team is playing in the Trinity Valley tournament in Fort Worth.  Additional baseball updates are on the baseball home page.

Basketball - Girls

The 18U Lady Riders team won the Texas Homeschool Basketball Tournament.  Congratulations to the Lady Riders!

The Lady Riders are currently ranked #27 in the state of Texas according to MaxPreps and #16 according to the Freeman Rankings.  The team currently stands 36-6 on the season.

Senior Point guard Moriah Jefferson (#32) has signed a scholarship to play at UConn and has just learned that she has been named to the McDonalds All-American team and will represent THESA as one of the 20 players at the McDonalds All-American game on March 28 at the United Center in Chicago. 

Cheer

The cheer team was awesome this year.  The team cheered at home games, away games, and even our semifinal game in Bryan.  Thank you to the team for encouraging our fans and enhancing the Rider spirit.  Cheer team details are on the Cheer page.

Football
THESA is preparing for spring practice.  All junior high and high school athletes should plan on attending spring practice to begin preparation for the 2012 fall season.  Spring practice begins March 27 and concludes with the Junior High and High School Red vs. White games on April 21.  Click here to go to the football home page for more football details.
