All people have sinned. We all do things that are wrong, things that hurt others and ourselves. We cannot approach God, for He is Holy and we are sinful.

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

In fact, the punishment for our sin is death. It only takes one sin to bring this penalty upon our heads.

Romans 6:23a "For the wages of sin is death; . . ."

But God gave us a gift! And it is eternal life with Him in paradise! But, there is a stipulation. The only way to get this gift is though God's Son, Jesus Christ.

Romans 6:23b " . . . but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

We are spiritual dead and on our way to hell as a default. We have not believed on Jesus Christ. But, if we turn to Him, we can be saved.

John 3:18 "He that believeth on him [Jesus Christ] is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

God loves us. Why shoudn't He? He made us!

Psalms 139:14 "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."

And God showed us His love by giving His only Son as an atonement for our sins.

Romas 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

We are already condemned, but God, in His mercy, gave His only Son as the perfect sacrifice for our sin. My sin. Your sin. God died for you. You personally. He loved you that much.

John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

How then can you be saved?

Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

God's Word says that if you acknowledge Jesus Christ as the only way to heaven, and ask Him to save you, truly believing that Jesus died for you and is risen from the dead, and if you do this sincerely believing in your heart, you will be saved. Acknowledge to God you are a sinner before a holy and just God. Acknowledge you know that you are on your way to hell. Believe that Jesus is God and that He died for your sin on the cross, was buried, and rose again three days later. Repent of your sin and ask Christ to save you. He will!!

Romans 10:9 " That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

You should tell others that you have been saved. You should be baptized, showing that you are dead to your sin and are now alive with Christ, and showing the world and fellow believers that you are a follower of Christ.

Romans 10:10 "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

You can now fellowship with God. Christ, by His blood shed on the cross, has removed the barrier of sin from between you and God!

Romans 5:1 has this wonderful message, "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."

We are free from the curse of sin! We are made alive in Christ Jesus!

Romans 8:1 "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."

We are kept saved forever! We cannot lose our salvation. You can be sure you will be with Jesus in heaven some day!

Romans 8:38-39, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
