Congratulations to Michele and Shiloh! They had a solid performance through all the obstacles at the friendly competition following the Trail Clinic, and gained momentum at the big ball portion of the course to go on to win tickets to the Tommy Garland Clinic at Amoroso's Equestrian Center which will be held May 18 - 20 ! Lucky Road Apple Gang members enjoyed a fun and informative clinic on April 29, 2012 and the Road Apple Gang owes a huge thank you to the Amoroso's (Facility Owners), Kelly Chapman (Trainer), and Chrissy Baker (Road Apple Gang Organizer) for putting on such a great clinic! The first participant comment heard, was they thought everyone had a great experience, walked away learning something, and thought we should have one every year! You can learn more about the Tommy Garland Clinic by visiting www.amorosohorses.com. Look for photos of the event in our photo album and find videos online at our youtube page! |

Hey Gang, You can find the St. Judes Trail Ride Flyer on the documents page. Please print it out and you can hang it up if you go somewhere that might have people that want to ride.. or you can share it with your friends.. or you can email it to groups or individuals that might be interested in joining us for the Trail Ride.
Remember this is an open ride so everyone is invited and welcome to come. I have also included a sponsor's sheet that you can share, use or whatever. I also have sheets that were provided by St. Judes if you missed getting one at the camping trip. Your welcome to use either.
We have asked that we pre-register.. just so we can stagger times a little bit and anticipate walk ons.. better. Rides begin out at 9:00 and continue thru 1:00
We will take registrations by 8:30 if your an early bird and want to hit the trails early.
This is for a great cause remember our mission! I have put my number and email on the flyer if you or anyone has questions please feel free to contact me.
Just let me know who is riding together (or if you want a group to go out with) and we can get it going.. Brecksville is a great place to ride! Nice wide trails.. good footing.. not to difficult.. quiet and fun! One of my favorite places to ride.
Remember you also welcome to come walk the course if for some reason your horse is off or you can't get him there.. or you just want to walk the course!
Saddle up and come join us!

A big thank you to Steve & Michele Lane! Before arriving at the luncheon, the tour itinerary included six stops. The first thing we saw was the work Stephani Kame had done in her tack room. The next stop was Nancy Figurella's barn where we met Mercy, her pony, and her adorable goats, plus we checked out all of Nancy's toys (where I hear a little auction was held by Joe Marino with Jerry Staten being the only bidder and buyer). Then we headed over to Candy Phillip's barn to see her beautiful new grain room wall, wash rack, and porch swing. We went to Paige's barn and saw the much bigger outdoor arena and indoor arena. Next was Butch & Steph's who installed a new french drain and improved the tack room. And for the last stop we got to see Steve and Michele Lane's barn for the first time! Steve did a nice little demo with his manure spreader for all of us. Once inside their beautiful home we got see the photo frames they made at the craft workshop on their mantle. They looked fantastic! and Steve showed us a really cool photo of his dad and his horse. Michele's food and refreshments, along with all the other dishes the gang brought, were absolutely amazing! Just a really great day! Thank you everybody!!!!
Look for pictures to be posted on Monday. |

and he didn't look very friendly either ! He was beautiful though and he stood about seven yards away from the trail watching every move we made until we left his mean looking sight! I wanted to snap his picture, but I was a little intimidated! I decided I'm getting the photo next time. He was the second deer we saw on the trail ride. Butch Hawthorne, Steph Hawthorne, Heather Lautzenheiser, Deanna Main, and Candy Phillips all turned out for a day that wasn't nearly as hot or buggy as everyone expected. We got to meet Heather's dogs, Chewy and Ruby, before she set out with friends to walk their dogs and the rest of us had a nice ride. We all shared lunch afterwards and played a little game of spin the bottle for prizes. Deanna would have preferred to have drawn sticks so we'll do that next time. |
