The conference will be held entirely in the Sir Alexander Fleming (SAF) building, Imperial College Road (It is in front of the college tower, see picture on the left)  at the South Kensington campus of Imperial College London. Post code for searches is (SW7 2AZ)

  • Instructions on how to get to campus (e.g. from the airports) can be found here.  Arriving from train from France/Belgium, the Eurostar station is King's Cross - St. Pancreas. From there you may use either the underground (the campus underground stations are either Gloucester Road or South Kensington) or a taxi.

 

Conference Dinner

The Conference Dinner will be held in the  Science Museum ( adjacent to the college ) on the evening of the 23rd (the First day) where we will dine amongst Newcomen and Watt steam engines, James Joule's paddle wheel experiment and numerous other highlights of centuries of scientific history. The cost of the dinner is included in the registration for each participant. Additional dinner tickets may be bought for 75 GBP. Please contact the Chairman in advance to account for the additional places or for any special dietary requirements.


Tourist information links

London is a marvelous city with enormous possibilities for the tourist. The post code of the campus is SW7 2AZ , and the area is known as South Kensington. It is at a walking distance from major museums, close to restaurants and with access to the underground system. Below are some links which may be of interest.
