~We are not Human Beings on a Spiritual Journey. We are Spiritual Beings on a Human Journey~

This Site is the Main Site for the T.W Forum.
It houses some info on our Group, both what we are, and what we do.

Also it is Home to my own Personal views about the Spirituality.

If this is your first visit to T.W or your first interaction with Therianthropy or Kin-Types, Welcome.
You may be wondering what we, as a community, are all about.
The Therian Wilderness is a growing group of Therianthropes and Beast Otherkin that have given their time
to share, learn and explore their animal natures with people like themselves.
I hope to see this site, and the Forum, expand into a reliable source of information for those seeking
help or advice along the paths of discovering themselves
through the dedication of its members, and the knowledge that they share.

About The Site;

"Therianthropy, is a term used for the existence of both animal and human traits within a person.
For example, a human may carry what he/she believes to be an animal soul, or perhaps just harbour the Mental
Characteristics of an animal, or multiple animals." - -

Other examples of this can be Otherkin, Humans with the souls or mentalities of beings believed to be Mythical, such as Dragons, Sphinxes and Gryphon's.

This Site focuses Only on the Spiritual
Animal/Beast aspects of Therianthropy and Otherkin. Although Vampires and Avatars (and such) are also Otherkin, we do not give out information about these.
Also, some Individuals believe Therianthropic/Otherkin Traits to be ONLY Mental, not Spiritual.
Our Members come from all Belief Systems,
but our Main Focus is Therianthropy and Kin-Types as Spirituality.

What We Are;

Some believe that when an animal dies, the soul can be passed into a human baby before it is born, or that the Animal soul can be merged with a Human soul before entering into a Human body.
Either through means of Reincarnation, mergeance, or pure accident, Therianthropes and Beast Otherkin are thus created.

For some a laughable topic, but for others who are affected by it,  a great insight into the uniqueness and diversity of their own Spiritual and Physical existence. Which can lead to a fresh outlook on life, and a closer relationship with nature and the Earth as a Spiritual being or Physical object.
Therianthropy is by no means a new 'fad' or 'craze' amongst people, it is evident in History, and in Myth.
And for many, it is a simple lifestyle, brought on by the belief that they are inwardly different to ordinary human beings.

Man has always feared and respected beasts, both in flesh and in Myth.  And in the art of the ages, those connections are clear to see.
From Ancient Egypt to Early China, and across the wilds of the Americas; Animal and man have shared a special bond on many occasions.
And it is those past records that allow us some insight into the very first Therian/Otherkin possibilities on Earth.
Though there will always be people claiming to be Werewolves who can really change physical shape - or those who believe Roleplaying a Dragon Character in a chatroom makes them a Dragon Spirited person;
those who are serious about their Spirituality,
should endeavour to be aware of fraudsters, in the search for self discovery, and avoid misinterpretation.

Remember, your Spiritual journey is your own, even if you should share it with the whole world.

What We Do;

Therianthropy is just a greater branch off the vast, relatively unknown, family of Otherkin (kin different to standard animal,
and standard man) and there is so much we have yet to learn about ourselves; as regards to where Therianthropes originated
from as a whole and as individual cultures/creatures, and their purpose for being.

Most Animal-Kin feel the need to come to terms with (and express) their animalistic nature alongside their human nature
in order to be fulfilled in life. This is why I have created a Forum, and this Site, to bring together those who wish to meet
others like themselves, to share their experiences, to learn from those wiser, and to teach those who need assistance.

Interaction with other similar -Kin can be a welcomed relief, and a offer a place of familiarity and comfort for those already
familiar with the Topic. And although it may seem awkward or frightening as a first experience for those new to their own Spirituality, the experience and knowledge you may gain from certain subjects and discussions are not to be missed.
The experience is always worth it.

This Site, and The Forum, aim to focus on the animalistic aspects of Otherkin (the 'beasts and monsters'), as well as the ordinary
animal-kin of Therianthropy.
We aim to explore the reasons why
we are -Kin,
how we came to be, where we originate from, and when it all happened. For us to better understand this Therianthropic/Otherkin lifestyle, we can explore the possibilities as a group.
How it affects the lives of Individuals
, and the families, friends and strangers they come into contact with each day.
Also what Spiritual or Physical Journey each person has taken to reach this conclusion about themselves, and what they aim to
do with the knowledge they have gathered or received along the way.
