THE SUPERVILLAINS
The Supervillains are hitting the road again this spring, this time targeting the western half of the United States for the first run of the much-anticipated Rah Rah Robots Tour! The tour coincides with the bands' May 1st release of their 6-track concept record "Robots" which is being put out on the Supervillains' Rah Rah Rah Records imprint. The long-awaited "Robots" EP is a blast from the past 10 years in the making, firing audio cannonballs at the listener as it volleys through 6 stages of afterlife and musical genre, covering everything from "ska-pocalypse" to "Heaven-metal". After the crossover success of their last album Postcards From Paradise, the Supervillains jumped back into the studio again to team up with producer Brett Hestla, who compares "Robots" to an extended version of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody". To help them celebrate the release is Kayavibe, the first act signed to Rah Rah Rah, who will be direct support for the Supervillains every night as they promote their self-titled release for the first time nationally.
"Although the band themselves have grown beyond the conventional sound of ska, I could see no better example of true scholars of this style of music and this culture,” BERKLEE GROOVE (Berklee College of Music - Boston, MA).
