Welcome to my home page. The Rat Mansion is a smaller scale rattery located in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, VIC.
I keep rats for breeding, but the majority of them i keep just as pets.
I have owned rats passionatly for several years now.
I do not run for profit, i run for the best interests of rats and pleasure.
I aspire to develop great markings, while maintaining a clean bill of health and excellent personalities.
You can never say 'ew' or 'yuck' to a rat as a pet until you have had one for yourself.
I hope that one day, a rat will be a recognised pet along with rabbits, cats and dogs. With a little bit of rat awareness, the sky is the limit.
My rattery is based highly around well bred rats.
Health will always come first in my rattery and i will not make exceptions.
My breeding rats do not come from pet shop lines under any circumstances.
I will NEVER breed for the sake of it (or because there 'cute'). Noone deserves a poorly bred rat.

Two homes have fallen through for two males from my last litter. These two boys are available and my litter page has been updated.

Litter page has been updated and a 'Seeking Reitrement' page has been created.
All of the babies for my current litters have gone to there new homes at this point in time except for one male. I am waiting to be contacted back about him to secure his new home.
I have some rough dates for my next litters delevoped.

On the 18th of August my female gave birth to seven healthy happy babies.
My litter page has been updated accordingly. Send me an email if you are interested in holding any babies.
Dont hesitate, they will sell quickly.

I am currently experiencing problems with activating voicemail on my phone.
