 Hembree Runs Wild 5 K and Cub Run - Saturday, April 21, 2012
Join us for HEMBREE RUNS WILD a 5K / 1K Cub Run / Festival on Saturday April 21st. Run, Walk or just come to they party!
The 5K starts at 9am at Hembree Springs. The route goes up Hembree Rd, to Crabapple, through a portion of Saddle Creek subdivision, back to Hembree and returns to the school.
The 1K is at 10am and will be on the Hembree Springs campus. The 5K is $15 and the 1K is $10. Register online at www.active.com or print the form from this website and send in with your student.
From 9 – 12 there will be a festival with bouncy houses, face painting, sand art, hair spray, chalk, bubbles, vendor booths, dancing, music and food for purchase.
The festival will also feature a basket raffle with 6 excellent themes:
We also have many special items donated from various sponsors including Disney tickets, a family photography session and canvas print , concert tickets, zoo tickets, museum tickets etc.
Basket raffle tickets will be available starting after spring break. Purchase $20 or more and we will print them for you. Purchases of $20 or more will get a free raffle ticket.

Some fun facts about the race: • 5K is actually 3.1 miles.
The 45 third, fourth, and fifth
graders in the Hembree Springs Running Club are training to be able to run this distance! • Walkers are welcome to join in the fun. It takes 45 minutes to an hour to walk a 5K. Strollers are also welcome. • The cub run is $10 and includes a t-shirt. It will be run on the Hembree Springs Campus and is approximately 1K (.6 mile). • If you would like to participate in the cub run but do not want a t-shirt, you can pay $5.
