What we'll do - use your cell phone to upload pictures and then geotag them in the Picasa web albums. Here is how: Step 1. Take a photo with your cell phone and post it to Picasa. Step 2. Geotag your photo at the Picasa site. Step 1 - Take a photo with your cell phone and post it to Picasa.
A. Go to your Picasa Web album.
B. Click on "Settings" in the top right of the screen.
C. Scroll down until you see an area that looks like the screen shot below and make up a secret word. Your "secret address" will appear in the blue box where it says "Email photos to this address".
D. Write down that address and then scroll down and click "Save Settings" (screen shot from Picasa)
Step 2 - Geotag your photo at the Picasa site. This will be very similar to the process of putting photos on a map like you did in Panoramio. A. Go to your Picasa web album and click on one of your photos
B. Look to the right of the photo in the right menu towards the bottom where it says "Photo Location" and click on the link "Add Location" right under that.
C. When the map pops up, type a location in the "Find location" box and click "Go" button. When the map finds your location, drag the red Placemark to the exact location. You can zoom in or out using the bar on the left (see screen shot below)
D. Now click the "Save location" button.
