Parish Christmas Fair - 25.11.2011 Various stalls were held in St. Paul's School Hall Vicarage Garden Party - 3.07.2011 Fr Philip welcomed everyone into his garden for an afternoon of entertainment whilst the Burnley Alliance Silver Band played on the back lawn
A group of young people from the Dioscese of the Free State in South Africa were visiting the Blackburn Dioscese and on monday the 27th June they spent the day in our parish. Whilst they were with us they spent some time in school and had a tour of the Parish followed by tea at Banny's fish and chip restaurant. In the evening they joined us for a service at St. Paul's before returning to their hotel in Blackpool. Confirmation - 14.06.2011 On Tuesday 14th June the parish confirmation was held at St.Pauls church. The service was led by the Bishop of Burnley. Afterwards refreshments were provided in the School Hall. Whit Walk - 11.06.2011 On saturday the 11th June Fr. Phillip organised an ecumenical Whit walk from St. Marys on Manchester Road to the Pendle Rise shopping centre. When we arrived at the town centre we sung a few hymns and a short service was held. Palm Sunday (Taking the cross up Pendle Hill) - 17.04.2011
We assembled the cross and chained it to the triangulation point at the top. We then went back up on Easter Sunday to Bring the cross back down. Palm Sunday Walk (from St. Bedes to St. Pauls) - 17.04.2011 Before the Sunday service on Palm Sunday some members of the choir and congregation processed up from St. Bedes to St. Pals. Parish Trip to Cadbury's World and The Severn Valley Railway... On the 2nd October 2010 Roy Munford organised a trip to The Severn Valley Railway and Cadbury's World in the West Midlands. Men's group trip on the Settle and Carlisle Railway... The Men's Group organised a trip on the 22nd of May 2010 to the Settle and Carlisle Railway.
Flower Festival Weekend... From 15th - 17th May 2009, St. Paul's Church held a Flower Festival to celebrate the Bi-Centenary of the church building.
