18th Annual Holiday Parade of Homes

posted Nov 17, 2011 7:23 AM by Newcomers Club   [ updated Nov 17, 2011 10:24 AM ]
With the fall season upon us, planning is already under way for the 18th Annual Holiday Parade of Homes in Watertown. This year’s event is set for Sunday, December 4th, 2011, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 pm and will feature an array of festively decorated homes to tour. The theme of the parade is "it’s a Wonderful House" and will feature a variety of homes reflecting the unique flavor of Watertown’s distinct neighborhoods.

The Watertown Main Street Program, who will use half of the proceeds for downtown beautification projects, now sponsors the Holiday Parade of Homes. The remaining half of the proceeds will go to a different charity each year that directly assists Watertown residents in need. This year’s selected charity is Adoration Abode.

Autumn Carew, who has co-chaired the event for the past several years, will remain the parade co-chairperson. Joining Autumn as co-chair is Wanda Fredrick.

Tickets are sold at these local businesses as well as in each of the homes on the day of the parade: Mimi's Hallmark, Tribeca Gallery Cafe & Books, Generation Jewelers, The Willows Home and Boutique and The Upper Krust. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 on the day of the parade. Raffle items will be available at one of the homes and there are other surprises.

For more information, please call The Watertown Main Street Program at 920-261-5185.
