What a great day we had for CRAFTastic! And what a wonderful turn out. We had people from Kansas visit the craft fair just from seeing our signs! It was a lot of fun and a huge success. Thank you to all who donated, volunteered, and planned the event. It was wonderful to see the community support our great cause. We raised over $2,300!!! A portion of that will be going to our Relay for Life Team for the August walk. We are already planning next year’s event, so mark your calendar for March 16, 2013!! You won't want to miss out!! And Angie Woerishofer, Bank of Lake Mills, is willing to set up CRAFTastic Day Savings Accounts for those members who want to save for next year!!! |

With the fall season upon us, planning is already under way for the 18th Annual Holiday Parade of Homes in Watertown. This year’s event is set for Sunday, December 4th, 2011, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 pm and will feature an array of festively decorated homes to tour. The theme of the parade is "it’s a Wonderful House" and will feature a variety of homes reflecting the unique flavor of Watertown’s distinct neighborhoods.
The Watertown Main Street Program, who will use half of the proceeds for downtown beautification projects, now sponsors the Holiday Parade of Homes. The remaining half of the proceeds will go to a different charity each year that directly assists Watertown residents in need. This year’s selected charity is Adoration Abode.
Autumn Carew, who has co-chaired the event for the past several years, will remain the parade co-chairperson. Joining Autumn as co-chair is Wanda Fredrick.
Tickets are sold at these local businesses as well as in each of the homes on the day of the parade: Mimi's Hallmark, Tribeca Gallery Cafe & Books, Generation Jewelers, The Willows Home and Boutique and The Upper Krust. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 on the day of the parade. Raffle items will be available at one of the homes and there are other surprises.

Our family of members is growing & that is a great thing! But we are out-growing our meeting space. Due to un-known reason, the Senior & Community Center is not able to offer us any larger rooms for 2011. With this hindrance, the board has decided to try out some new digs!
The January Monthly Meeting on Wednesday, January 5th will be located at the Bank of Lake Mills Community Room— downstairs below the bank. The Bank of Lake Mills is located at 400 Bernard Street, the corner of Bernard & Hwy 26, by the new Pick-n-Save store. The Community Room is located on the bottom floor—you can’t miss it. The Community Room is free for us to use & we are able to use it as their schedule allows. That means if we are needing more space for an event, we can book the room with them.
We’ll also be adding a NEW event to our schedule for those who enjoy crafting! We will be hosting P.M.S. nights on set Friday nights. P.M.S. stands for Pizza, Movies & Socializing as you work on your projects! So check out our new digs at the January meeting & bring a friend! |

Thank you to Jane Brotski for putting a great holiday party together and thank you to everyone who had fun bidding & in the end winning a gift basket! |
