Mt. Hildar - MMO

While the main quest is single player, the Multiplayer Arena gives players an opportunity to interact, trade items, and make wagers in battle.

The Multiplayer Arena lies deep within the ruins of Mt. Hildr, an old kingdom where the citizens would battle for sport.  The inhabitants have long passed, but their coliseum remains, drawing contestants and spectators from across the land.

Players can reach the Arena through the game's main menu, where they can enter the lobby to interact with other players on-screen.  There they can trade items, visit shops, and make wagers over battles.

Battles
One-on-one battles can be waged inside the coliseum's main arena.  Before each battle, the players make bets by placing one item into the pot.  The winner receives the other player's item.

Chatting
Players can chat with each other inside any room of the arena lobby with a small chatbox that lies on the bottom of the screen.  The chat text overlays the screen for anyone in the room to see.

Shops
Armor, weapon, and item, shops line the north wall, near the entrance to the main arena.  Here, players can purchase goods, based on what they have unlocked in the main quest.

Trading
Players can venture to the trading room and exchange goods by bartering gold pieces or other goods.

I've started writing some of the code for user interaction. Once it gets further along, I'll post a link. Right now it's kind of buggy.

Sounds awesome. And chat will only be available in VS mode, correct? not in the main story.

the very first panel on the bottom, i believe room 80 is impossible to get to by foot. I can warp there however.

correct, I just quickly tossed it into the map to fill out the screen

in the first two rooms in the castle, some knight suits would look great.

Are you planning on remodeling the upper left room so players don't get confused that they can't go further?

I agree, some slight decoration is in need, probably to perk up the final release. Maybe some paintings, wall hangings. A few suits of armor or some tapestries or something o.0 and is it possible to patch warping? I rather enjoy warping, but it may be a little weird for some ppl. And maybe if the water could be moving somehow, that would look amazing.

I'll try to push the graphics to the browser's limits. The current graphics were just something to get it ready by the end of the year.

Yes, I understand. I've noticed that people tend to stay outside, because its bright and peaceful. The castle is a little creepy, with the grayness >.< and there will be emotes for sprites? such as jaspers exclaim, that was on the teaser?

There will be more animations for each character so that they aren't limited to just walking stances. Emotions, fighting, and sleeping, are a minimum.

I'm going to try to get scrolling backgrounds back into the tavern demo and eventually work that into Mt. Hildar.
