Don't forget the water well in the center of town. There should be enough room around that for several villagers to gather each morning. Also temporary shops get wheeled to the area as traders stop by the village (like Helmer). Those shops could be envisioned as anything from a little cart to a large horse-drawn carriage that looks like a hotdog booth at a fair.

With those added, I think those would be beneficial to Elite.

shouldn't the roads in a small village like this be more dirt-like?

they arent roads arc, i believe elite made them like cobbled walkways. Your sense of size may be a bit off, think smaller.
