cognoscendi: (cognoscente) (noun) Present participle plural of cognoscere, "to know (of)"; i.e., "objects of consciousness or of knowing". [See "cognoscendum"]
cognoscendum: (cognoscentum) An existent, whether a thing, an attribute or an action. Present participle singular of cognoscere, "to know (of)" i.e., "an object of consciousness or of knowing". The implication is "to know of existent(s)": the Law of Contradiction prevents "knowing of" an existent that has no existence. The comcomitant of an "object" of consciousness is the "subject" of consciousness, i.e., a perception.
contra-causal: The doctrine that human will, being unable to either undo the causes of our cognitions and our behaviors, or to fully create those causes ourselves, leads to the conclusion that the will is not free from being required to act in response to those causes. Therefore, according to this doctrine the will is not free will, often referred to as libertarian free will.
causality: Causality is the law of identity applied to actions, and actions are actions of entities.
