Music Production Instructor for The Lab
Mike Porrata (a.k.a. Future Methods, a.k.a. Mike Device) has been producing music since he moved to Burlington 8 years ago. He began by experimenting with loops in Acid Pro, and later moved to Reason software as his tool of choice. His production styles originally had a heavy emphasis on samples, and he has come to include prominent use of synthesizers as well.
He has released several hip hop mixtapes as well as three cd's of original material as Future Methods, and lately has been producing and spinning cutting-edge electro sounds as Mike Device. He recently co-founded Everyone Records which has an emphasis on remixing indie-rock to bring it to fans of hip hop and electronic production, and vice versa.
