The unity candle table
We handed a rose to each of our moms and gave our parents hugs after lighting the unity candle,
while the soloist (my younger brother) was singing.
We had these flowers down the aisle.
The bridesmaids' bouquets--I LOVED the purple tulips.
Purple is my favorite color--can you tell?
My bouquet
My bridesmaid Mary blowing loose powder on my face
If I could do it all over again, I would've just worn lip gloss instead of lip liner and lipstick. I am SO not lipstick person and the whole day, I kept licking my lips (between pictures!) because of the weird texture lipstick has.
Putting the dress on
The Cinderella shot
My absolute favorite shot of my dress--I love the swoops in the back!!
I got my dress hemmed but then had it steamed at the store where I bought right before the wedding day. When I put it on, I realized that steaming it had made it longer and it was now about 2 inches too long in the front! I kept tripping on it as I walked. My mom tried to sew it up but we ended up using safety pins instead.
My jewelry. The necklace was from Macy's and the earrings from some store online--they matched perfectly!
My mom graciously bought my necklace for me--I never would have spent that kind of money on it!
My dress had faux buttons. They didn't serve any purpose but look nice!
Travis "getting ready" with his groomsmen.
I love Travis' smile. It makes me melt.
Precious moment with my dad.
I didn't cry on our wedding day (I just don't do that when I'm happy)
but the person who made me the closest to crying was actually my dad!

Walking down the aisle at last
My dad giving me away
I had really wanted an outdoor wedding. But in Minnesota, the odds of it not raining in May are pretty iffy. So I tried to create as much of an outdoorsy feeling inside as I could (within reason!)
So many people have asked me if the lighting in this picture was planned--it wasn't!
Lighting the unity candle
My younger brother is an amazing singer so he was our soloist. He sang "How Beautiful" while we lit the unity candle and hugged our parents.
The newlyweds!
