On Sunday morning (5/18), I ran the first leg--a 10K--of the Colfax Marathon Relay. After church, Travis and I drove to a mountain cabin about 30 minutes from Woodland Park (down near Colorado Springs), where we spent Sunday night and the next morning. It was very romantic--completely secluded with a great view of Pikes Peak and a hot tub outside. On our anniversary (5/19), we ate breakfast in bed, watched TV, and then went hiking at Mueller State Park. Back in Boulder that night, we watched a movie and drank champagne. Our anniversary was exactly what I had wanted--relaxing and romantic.
Me running the relay. It was a new PR for a 10K--my time was 62:36. I was very happy.
The cabin we stayed in.
The back porch with the hot tub--it was great sitting out there at night, enjoying the view.

The view at night
At this time, we hardly ever watched TV. It was like a novelty.
The bedroom--love her decorating no?
The kitchen--we grilled steaks for dinner. We were going to have wine but forgot that the liquor stores weren't open because it was a Sunday!

Hiking on Monday (May 19th--our anniversary) at Mueller State Park. I guess it wasn't really a hike--more like walking around in the woods :) It was a pretty easy hike but that was ok with me since I was so tired from the race the day before!
