How we met:
We met at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis through a campus ministry called Campus Outreach. I was a junior and Travis was a sophomore. We both became Christians about 7 months before we started dating. I didn't think twice about him but I guess I caught his eye because he and his friend Mark asked me and my friend Melody out on a double date (to lessen the awkwardness and to get to know me better). I actually ended up with a slight crush on Mark (Travis says "Worse wingman ever!") but a few days after that double date, Travis called and asked me out to dinner. "Oh, Travis likes me," I thought. I said yes because I couldn't say no and it was the best decision of my life! After our first date, though, I still thought Travis felt more like a friend than a love interest. But during our second date, when he surprised me with tickets to go see a musical and we were sitting in our seats waiting for it to start, I thought "I could do this...I could like this guy." Two years later, we were married on May 19, 2007. It hasn't been complete bliss all the time but it has definitely been a joy.
