Schedule ahead one or more days. There is never a guarantee of last-minute availability, but sometimes it can be worked out. Additional stores and non-grocery errands may also be arranged, including prescription pick-up.
Regarding Multiple - Store Shops: An item on the Store1 list can be looked for at Store2 when it was completely not available at Store1 and no second choice selection was listed. But items for Store2 will not be looked for at Store1. Please keep this in mind when deciding the order you will have me shop in for you.

THREE Ways to Save!
1] New Client Referral: You receive $3 off a future Shop when someone you refer to The Grocery Service becomes a new client. (May not be combined with #2 or #4.) 2] Buddy-up and split the fee: This means that you and one or more people you know may combine your lists to save on the Shopping fee! 3] Double-up and save $2 each. This means if you and one or more people you know schedule a Shop for the same time, you will each get $2 off your fee.
( and then three MORE !)
4] Regularly-scheduled weekly Shops: Being a weekly client will garner you $4 off the regular The Grocery Service fee on your fourth Shop in each month. (That is $1 off for each week to say Thank-you.) 5] Low-income Senior Citizens receive $1 off every Shop that does not have any other discount applied to it. 6] Sometimes, also, I may have coupons that can be used for items on your list. These I will "split" with you. This works even when you do not have coupons of your own. For Example: A coupon I have for 45¢ off an item on your list will show as an additional 45¢ coupon savings on your receipt, which we will then "split" by your giving half of it, or 22¢, back to me with my fee (you keep the 1/2¢.) It is a win-win situation!

Are YOU going to be prepared for the day when disposable bags are outlawed? That day is fast approaching, so here are some links to help you get started now: ECOBAGS® the original since 1989 ReusableBags.com Then to serve in place of the plastic bags you no longer will be bringing home and using for the car garbage bag, dog walks, or litterbox scoopings: compostable, biodegradeable BioBags One of the most valuable things you CAN do when you must throw a disposable plastic bag away (like when you can't take it to Wal-Mart to recycle it) is to please tie it into secure knots to make it a little less likely to blow very far if it escapes the garbage can or landfill, and perhaps a little less dangerous to wildlife if it does. It only takes a moment. ____________________________ Statistics say that only 23% of the plastic water and soda bottles are recycled in our country which means 38 billion go into landfills each year (and I bet that is not including the ones that go out car windows.) That bothers me.
I carry a Klean Kanteen to keep fresh water with me at all times. "Klean Kanteens are made from #304 stainless steel, the material of choice in the food processing, dairy, and brewery industries. Stainless steel is easy to clean, durable, inert, sanitary, toxin-free, and non-leaching." AllYourGreen.com is where I shop for mine - they have great prices on them and an easy-to-navigate page with a clear and excellent lineup to choose from.
"Stainless steel Klean Kanteens outlast their plastic counterparts, [are completely recyclable,] and drinking water from a stainless steel Klean Kanteen tastes clean and odor free, unlike drinking from plastic which often makes water smell and taste undesirable." Using my Klean Kanteen, and knowing it was manufactured under rigid guidelines, and never detecting any funny taste, and enjoying how EASY it is to clean, and having dropped it a few times without bursting or spilling, I can say I think it is absolutely the best choice in reusable bottles. The walls are thicker than any other I have found out there and will withstand drops and dings seemingly forever. It certainly makes me feel GOOD knowing I am not contributing to the waste plastic problem. ____________________________

| Your life just got simpler... (Why? )
I know what it costs to keep food in the house, so I take this very seriously. Your produce, meat, dairy, and bakery items will be the freshest I can find for you, and it is my business not to break the eggs, crush the bread, drop the bag, or forget anything on your list. I am conscientious and attentive to the details.
Simply put, I will do your grocery shopping for you. A: I will pick up your list and coupons and make certain I understand exactly what you want and what store you prefer it comes from. I will do the driving, the walking, the finding, the selecting, the standing in line at the register, the remembering to use your coupons, the packing, the lugging, and the delivering it all back to you. B: Together we will compare your list with your receipt, and your receipt with your groceries, to verify everything is there, and then your grocery shopping will be finished - pretty much all while you were enjoying doing something else. C: Couldn't be simpler
Some things you want to know:
Because I will have made every effort to understand exactly what you want me to purchase for you, I cannot be held responsible for wrong items unless it is a case of very obviously an apple when you clearly wrote an orange.
* I cannot extend credit of any kind - all money must be handed to me in cash with your Shopping Form and coupons. You will receive a receipt for it before I leave for the store and I will bring your change back with your store receipt and groceries. Arrangements might possibly be made with the stores in advance for non-cash payment methods, if you call them. I also will use your food stamps card and debit card for you if you wish.
* There is one weekday each month that I do not schedule Grocery Shops, and that is the day that Food Stamps are released. This is for three very important reasons: the increase in the number of shoppers on that day can sometimes mean decreased selection, longer delays at checkout, and a very, very busy day for the Store employees. Though the date fluctuates, l will always know it in advance so we can schedule your regular weekly Shops accordingly. I do, however, schedule other types of Appointments that day.
* Four regular-sized cans of peas or ten regular-sized cans of tomato sauce, same brand,
same size, equal 1 item, but two different types of bread, three separate deli items, and larger items like gallons are counted individually.
* All cold items are transported in thermal bags and/or coolers to maintain them at safe temperatures. Therefore, if your milk is soured, it likely was bad before I picked it up. If that happens, I will have the Store make it right within 24 hours.
* Prescription pick-up service is available. By planning ahead and remembering to order your refills early, scheduling pick-up ahead saves you money and worry. Also: when included with a Shop at Wal-Mart and you use their pharmacy, your prescription simply counts as one item.
* Yes. I will pick up cigarettes and alcohol. Extra stops are an additional $5.00 fee each, and a Shopping Form must still be filled out. Any returns/exchanges for stale cigarettes will require an additional Appointment, so a possible delay. If your cigarette brand has had staleness issues in the past, try to schedule their purchase well in advance of running out, just in case.
* Grocery orders that include legal products will not be delivered to any person who is without legal proof-of-age identification.
* For any grocery order that a client signs off on in advance instructing me to simply drop it off when no one will be there to receive the delivery, my responsibility ends at drop-off. (However drop-off will never be an option on orders that include legal products or refrigerated/frozen items during warm temperatures.)
* The Grocery Service uses quality reusable bags. If you are interested in helping the
environment and wildlife by reducing the number of plastic and paper
bags used when you shop, then purchasing reusable bags for yourself or for
someone you love is a wonderful solution. The links at left will take you to some great sites where you can shop
for quality reusable bags to suit your shopping style, your personal
style, and your lifestyle.
..Fees.. * Fees are based on the total number of items you need and the total time involved; from when I pick up your list to when I drive away after delivery, including gas mileage. (I have seen where many services charge a basic fee PLUS a percentage of the grocery total - that strikes me as punishing you twice for the cost of food these days.) I am not trying to make my million … I merely want to provide a useful, very often necessary, service, be able to make my own ends meet so I may continue making this service available to those who need it ... and still have fun while I'm doing it.
