As the Jr. Rep for SkunkHaven.net I hope to spread the knowledge of both wild and domestic skunks.   Skunks are not a 'disposable' pet and most likely will be killed if put in a 'normal' shelter because you decide you don't want it anymore. 

Please research any pet you are craving to have and make sure the pet is right for you. It is not fair to the animal or the animal rescuers to have to take on a pet that is unwanted for a simple reason.

There is a difference between getting rid of a pet because you don't want it and don't care for it, but please do what you can to be able to keep a pet you love, and if you will not care for it, please; DO NOT BUY THE PET!
