Click here for the Queens Gazette Article!!! - - - - - - - - - | THE GARDEN PLAYERS A 35 years old staple of the Forest Hills Community, this childrens musical theater program run initially by Susan Fischoff has been under the direction of Betina Hershey since 2002. At the end of the school year, participants will perform in a fully staged, choreographed, costumed original production with a band at the Community House to an audience of up to 240 per show.  Photo by Yolanta Perkins: Musicville 2011 Current Students & Alumni of the Garden Players have attained high levels of achievement, including: singing the national anthem at the US Open, being accepted into Professional Performing Arts School, Fiorello H. La Guardia High School of the Performing Arts, Frank Sinatra High School, appearing on Saturday Night Live and more. Congrats!

It was a treat to have world-touring Tamar Korn performing trad jazz tunes of the 1920's and 1930's! Thanks to Willard Dyson on drums, Lowell and Shawn Hershey on trumpets, Nick Russo on guitar, Denver on piano, we had a top notch band. The Noble Gnarble by Denver Casado was thrillingly performed by the Garden Players. - - - - - - - - - "We Are Monsters" & "Musicville" are available for licensing to schools and youth theaters through Beat by Beat Press! - - - - - - - - - The Broadway Workshop selected our latest original musical, Musicville, to be part of the premier season of the Children’s Musical Theater Festival in Manhattan on July 23rd & 24th, 2011.
