The Furniture Mender specializes in furniture repair. The repairs would take place in your home (a housecall) or in The Furniture Mender's workshop. Some of our services offered are:
- Housecalls (work done in your home) to remove scratches, nicks, dings, white rings & water marks on furniture finishes. Also sofa repairs would be done in your home.
- Refinishing & Restoration.
- Wobbly chairs, tables & other furniture reglued.
- Broken or missing rungs, legs, rockers & trim reglued or replaced.
- Missing spindles duplicated & installed.
- Veneer repair or replacement.
- Chair Caning & Weaving.
- Basic Reupholstery on items such as dining room chairs, settees, & stools. The Furniture Mender does not provide fabric. You must buy your own. If you need help determining yardage, please call. Suggested places to buy fabric are Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores or The Interior Alternative in Newark, DE (302-454-3232).
- Marble repair.
- Wicker repair.
- Dog chewed furniture repaired.
