Very sad day for our household as Splash, passed away Saturday night June 25th. Since Gary and I prevented a death by freezing when she was abandoned as a puppy, we think her age was about 14. As well trained as she was by my hand, she taught me more than I did her. One in a million. Relatives, neighbors and friends lobbied us for the right to have her stay with them when ever we left home as she was available to stay elsewhere. She never met anyone she did not like or love, and the same was always returned to her. No matter how tough times were, and they were more than once, Splash was always a source of love, friendship and companionship to Gail and myself. Her legacy will continue. When the pain subsides, and is replaced by fond memories we will soon rescue another from her "tribe":)..  Say hello to Cruiser! Gail and I adopted her from a rescue situation. She is in the photo at this time 8 weeks old, a female miniature poodle. Her clerical skills will be valued! Cruiser is especially friendly, and has adjusted well quickly in less than a day! She cannot replace Splash, but we are sure she will write her own "tails" of adventure in the coming years. Our home is already radiating with a new glow of affection from her. I am sure there will be friends and relatives lobbying us to watch over her when we travel just as they did with Splash. Her kennel name was Armani, eeewwwwhhhhh! Gail thought of the name Cruiser, Cooool! |
