Supporting Actress in a Musical Fall 2010

Winner:
Emily Hecht ’11 as Choreographer in Disney Revue
Emily Hecht’s Choreographer, the seductive powerhouse who convinces the Leading Lady to give up her career so she can take the lead role in the theater, was an overall joy to watch. The indulgent villainy and sly deviousness were absolutely hilarious, and only as funny as it was because Hecht clearly took the bizarre role very seriously, nailing comic bit after comic bit without fail.

Runner-Up:
Ashley Kaupert ’12 as Mad Margaret in Ruddigore
Ashley Kaupert played Mad Margaret, Despard Murgatroyd's jilted fiancée. Margaret’s gratitude and insanity combine in a mid-show transformation both rewarding and funny.

Other Nominees:
Brianne Holland-Stergar ’14 as Mama in Chicago
Brianne Holland Stergar memorably played the jail warden Mama Morton with spunk and a fantastic sense of fun.
Amelia Ross ’14 as Dame Hannah in Ruddigore
Amelia Ross’ Dame Hannah could have been a throwaway, typical, matronly Gilbert and Sullivan type, but Ross managed to pull off this buttoned-up character with style and incredibly entertaining presence.

Honorable Mention
Salome Sandoval as Paix, Les Plaisirs de la Paix
