OLD MILL KITCHEN DESIGN FOOD FEASTIVALS


Meet Chef Michael Niksic, aka The Food Mercenary. 
Chef Niksic is the creative driving force behind the Feastivals.
  His style of cooking has its roots all the way back to 1976 when as a cook he was introduced to French Nouvelle Cuisine.  The first actual style of cooking centered around healthy cooking using pure ingredients.  Since that time he has applied that approach to cooking in every food service facility he has been in charge of, starting in 1978.  He has over 400 TV appearances (as a chef and as a world class pro freestyle jet skier) to his credit and a cameo in a movieHe has been featured in hundreds of printed articles and hundreds of photos nation wide.  He released his first culinary DVD "Serious Chili" in 7/09.  His second culinary DVD "Uber Cool Ginger Bread Houses" will hit the shelves in the fall of 2009.  His unconventionally funny and inspired cooking programs are a huge draw in Northern Illinois Public Library featured cooking programs.  He will be conducting the cooking program at each Feastival at the Old Mill Kitchen Design Company.
There will be substantial tastings, local vendors, prizes and much fun to be had!.

Gingerbread House Building Feastival!
Chef Niksic conducts one of his most popular classes.  He will build, finish, decorate a completely edible gingerbread house that will include some great surprise features.  A Hot Chocolate Buffet will be featured
