Alright...

I don't know about the spin-off anymore... Frankly, it will have to be decided whether or not to do it after TJOD is finally published. Well, the good news is that TJOD is definitely coming out on October 11th now. Which is a Monday to give people plenty of time to read it all. Now, I was going to print it in full hardback A5 (alas, that is the reason it has taken so long to complete) however this task has proved daunting indeed and I am now calling it off. Back to the old A4 it is!! As long as there's a big enough bind for it...
The final word count is 93,393... Something to keep you occupied for a couple of days.

Well, now that that's finally sorted, a year behind when it was originally scheduled to come out, I can finally settle in peace! (And get that countdown to the right date again.)

Good news

I have decided to continue writing a spin-off anyway now, even if it will run on too long... I will just have to be quick, won't I! As you are probably already aware, James Cullen is to be the main character and... well, there's nothing else I can really tell you right now, other than it will be a long plot! Very long, that's why I'm worried about it taking too long to write... well if you stay into Sixth Form you will be able to read it all! (No joke, it seriously will take that long to finish!)

On another subject, The A Gang Chronicles is doing very well in the vote at the moment  on WEbook... Head down and vote if you haven't already! However I don't plan it to be part of The Dissolution of Daijun saga at all anymore if it were to be published. It would be more aimed at 9-12 year olds, and would have a different sequel hopefully... Well more on that at the end of the vote! That's all for now!

Wooo!

Okay, The Jaws of Dominion is complete!!! At last! :D
Having read through and edited it, I am confident it is my best work yet, let's hope you feel the same! Well... you never know, there could just be an off chance that it might be all printed off before the ERD at last! lol
Well, we'll see... James still has to do the illustrations and there is going to hopefully be a complex change in the way the book, well, is, but I will leave that as a surprise. So to be honest it probably won't be out before 73 days lol.

Progress

I've been working hard editing The Jaws of Dominion, and am now most of the way through it, only around 30 pages left. As it says in the release dates section, I am hoping to release hopefully my best book yet between May and June sometime... HOPEFULLY. But you know how it's played out every other time I've set an approximate release date! It's been pushed back! This time I am pretty confident it won't be, though.... but then I was on the other times...lol!

Yes, I can FINALLY comfirm the release date for The Light of Daijun! As I write this it is nestled next to me, fully bound and printed, and on Wednesday 18th March it shall be out--- 2 days from now! See, I haven't given up on the series after all! And after that, only one more book remains to complete the saga...

WEbook First!

Okay, I am testing The Jaws of Dominion on WEbook before I release it. The first few chapters are on WEbook right now. But you may not be able to read them! It is a private project, and I have only selected people who have shown an interest in my previous books to be able to read it. If I get good feedback, I will happily release book 6. If not, further editing must be made!

Longer than expected...

*Cries a little*. Yes, The Dissolution of Daijun series seems to have ground to a halt recently, with neither the 5th or 6th books being released anywhere near on time. Indeed, I will admit that I have not even attempted trying to locate the 5th book (somehow lost amongst other junk) and have not been editing book 6 as I should be. However, I am carrying on the editing starting from today, and I will try to find book 5 ASAP! Don't worry, the series has not just randomly ended!
However, the spin off that was originally planned for the series may never make it, I'm afraid. I am not saying it won't, but that if it does it could take a while to write, and may not be out until the end of year 10. Because of the fact that it was planned to be a series, I fear I would not be able to write them all in time before everyone leaves school! Therefore I may choose to just not write them...

Good news!

Okay, I finally have some good news for once! I am now about to type up the final page of The Jaws of Dominion! Yes, it will be out sooner than you think! I can safely say I think it is my best work yet. Although I think my writing style has developed and altered during The Dissolution of Daijun series, and maybe not all will enjoy the writing style of the final book as much as the others, I think it is at least twice as good as The End of The World (voted my best work so far). I will not tell you yet, but when book 6 does come out it will be very different to all of the other books in the series, and not just because it has reached over 90,000 words now! Anyway, you'll find out in a couple of months ;).

On the book 5 front, if I can find it lol I will fix it tonight. Therefore expect it to realistically come out either midway through the week, or early next week. I hope you enjoy it as it is obviously very different to all of the others, as a different author wrote it. Well there you have it, goodbye!

Work Resumes

Next week I will continue with book 6, as understandably I have had a break over Christmas from writing. Expect book 5 within the first 2 weeks back from school, as it has not been fixed yet.
The Jaws of Dominion is very nearly finished, and when it is I intend to have a relatively long break from writing before picking up the ol' laptop again. I feel it is needed, as I have been writing this series for just under 3 years now. A break is due!
Bear in mind I do not intend to stop writing altogether, it may be a break but that is all. After a few months I shall hopefully start on something fresh! :)

The Dissolution of Daijun Book 5: The Light of Daijun/The Charlous Diearies- Blurb!

posted ‎‎14 Dec 2008 05:03‎‎ by Alex Williams

THE LIGHT OF DAIJUN

The Never Knights saga continues, in the 5th epically funny book by Alex Williams and Daniel Davies. But this time expect a different style, because all changes in this book. Alex is the editor, and Dan’s the author! (Ho ho ho!)

As the now  famed ‘a gang’s’ adventures continue, picking up in the depths of year 5, they team up with some old friends, John and Joe, and even some new ones! Well, almost friends anyway. On a whim, Alex and Dan set off (along with an annoying Matt) to find out what the strange greenish turquoisey light that keeps appearing really is, with surprising results.

This, the first adventure the gang journey on against Charlie, is definitely set to be full of twists and turns that will blow you away (okay, we may be exaggerating just a teensey bit there).

THE CHARLOUS DIEARIES

In a rather epic change to the saga, this time Charlous is the main character and Dan and Alex are the enemies. (By the way- me and Alex decided it should be about Charlie, so close your mocking little mouth- John…)

Yes, Charlous has written a diary of the gang’s year 7 (and 6 if you’re thinking- “but you’ve forgotten Sam, fool!) year, never seen before. And through this diary, we discover the true evil behind the Dain Master’s pit-like eyes…
