November 10th - Staff Variety Show
Please plan to join us and help support refugees in Africa. Admission to the show will be a pair of new or gently used crocs (or a small donation). The Sycamore Creek PTA will be working in conjunction with Think Humanity to deliver the shoes to children in Africa. You can visit Think Humanity's website at:
We will need a lot of volunteers to assist with this project, so please email me at kteague2@wcpss.net if you are interested in helping. Some tasks will include:
Before November 10
* Making a poster about the event that we could also use at the Talent Show On November 10 * Setting up the booth *Volunteering at the booth to collect shoes during the show
*Handing out tax forms from Think Humanity (if requested)
Soon after November 10 * Counting the shoes by size & binding the pairs together with rubber-bands * Washing the gently used shoes (if needed) * Collecting the cards for children in Africa * Shipping the shoes and cards to Think Humanity November/December - Crocodile Cheer Holiday Program
In mid-November, information will come home in your child's Friday Folder about our annual holiday program. Crocodile Cheer provides gift bags for students in the community who are in need. The gift bags are filled with holiday surprises and assorted school supplies. You can participate this season by volunteering to sponsor a child and provide a gift bag for them.
We will also need volunteers in December for a "wrapping party"! More information about this, including the date, will be posted here soon.
