The Counselor's Corner

About Mrs. Teague

My name is Kelli Teague and I am entering my sixth year in education. I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master of Education in School Counseling.

As part of the counseling program, I visit each classroom two times per month and provide guidance lessons on a variety of topics, including character education, bullying, and career education. Lessons are tailored to meet the developmental needs of each grade level.  In addition, I provide individual and small group counseling services for students. Topics often include, but are not limited to, anger management, changing families, impulse control, social skills, grief, and separation anxiety.
Throughout the year, the counseling program is involved with several school-wide initiatives including the Tardy Busters Program, Career Day, and a holiday program benefiting students in need.  If you would like more information about any of these programs, please feel free to contact me.

In addition to providing counseling services, I serve as the Student Support Team Coordinator for Sycamore Creek.  The Student Support Team consists
of a group of school professionals who meet and discuss strategies to help students achieve success in the classroom.

If you feel that your child could benefit from any of these services, or if you have a specific concern that you would like me to address, please contact me at kteague2@wcpss.net or 841-4340.

I look forward to working with you and your child!
