The Sycamore Creek Elementary School counseling program believes that every child is entitled to the educational opportunities needed to maximize their career, academic, and personal/social development.  Equity and respect for all students should be the cornerstones of our educational system and our counseling program pledges to advocate for students so that no child will be denied these basic rights.

Sycamore Creek Elementary School believes that the comprehensive school counseling program should:

• Facilitate the career, academic and personal/social development of all students through the creation and implementation of a comprehensive, developmental, K-5 school counseling program.

• Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, parents, and other stakeholders to maximize the achievement level of all students.
  

• Facilitate the development of respect for all students.

• Promote the advancement of social justice for all students by paying particular attention to the educational needs of the disadvantaged.
